About Us
As a foster, I was sad to see so many people want to have pets, but felt their situation would be to difficult to properly care for one. I wanted to create something that gave solutions for each of those concerns. The services I offer will take the worries of sharing a life with a pet away so all you are left with is the love and a beautiful friendship with them.
The History of The Lake House
How it began
I have had a love and passion for animals my entire life, but in January of 2023, I was given the responsibility of caring for 9 foster puppies who were born in a car at the end of December 2022. They were almost 6 weeks old and would not be coming with their mama. I had to balance their needs and frequent feeding schedules with my current work schedule, which was not easy. I was thankful to have help or we would not have made it through. As a foster mom, I was allowed to place each foster with a family personally. I met with them and made sure their home was going to be perfect for each puppy, given I knew their personalities so well.
As I was on outings with the pups, I would be told how much people wanted a puppy, but their lifestyle would not allow for it. Either it was finding the time, the space, the commitment, or the financial burden. This broke my heart and I knew there was something I had to do. I designed the services offered by The Lake House to address all of those needs.

Now we have made a plan to take care of your dog's daily needs, but sometimes one of those needs is a friend. If you are ready to add a friend, but don't have time to search, simply let me know the qualities you are looking for and I will work with our local rescues to find them.
